Our boys at the Dardanelles (Anzac Day)

[item_table]
These medals were struck at the end of June 1915, making them the first medals in the world struck to commemorate the landing in Anzac Cove on 25 April 1915. These were sold at sixpence each to raise money to support the Australian soldiers, both those abroad and the ones who returned home. It was the East Perth Football Club that organised the striking of these medals and the public appeal for funds.
