The Fremantle Buffalo Club opened in 1938 at the corner of Pakenham and Collie Streets, and in its present location 54 High St, Fremantle in 1951. Leo Amaranti was a long-standing Club secretary and manager from 1979 until his death on 27 September 2016 (aged 84 years). These tokens are given out to members at the Annual General Meeting and other special events (eg Melbourne Cup sweep) as a thank you for their membership.
