[item_table] These were used as wages chits, possibly in the 1950s or 1960s given the E R (which stands for Elizabeth Regina). Four different types are shown, all have blank reverses.
[item_table] The Trans-Australian Railway was opened in October 1917 – a āGā class steam locomotive is shown on the reverse and a 1967 diesel on the Obverse. This gold medal is edge numbered 5.
