The medallion was sold to members of the Royal Australian Artillery Historical Society of Western Australia (Inc) at $25 each, and an identically engraved pewter plaque approx 150mm diameter was presented to the Governor who officiated at the Opening. Also, some of the members purchased a pair of the medallions and had them framed with obverse and reverse on view against a blue background and surmounted with an engraved plaque referring to the Opening.
