Medals for Royal Visit: Whether the Kalgoorlie council will issue commemorative medals for the Royal Visit next year will not be known until a decision is made by either, the State or Federal Governments regarding the issue of medals. Quotes have been received for three different and very decorative styles of medals, and should it be decided that the medals issued by the Government are inadequate for the occasion, then a decision will be made by the council as to the type of medallion it will distribute to Kalgoorlie children. http://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/95702780
