SALVATION ARMY. (1927, September 22). The West Australian (Perth, WA : 1879 – 1954), p. 14.

The annual appeal for funds for the Southern Australian District of the Salvation Army — including Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania — was opened on September 17. In connection with the appeal a Button Day will be held next Friday when badges, bearing the image of a little in-mate of the Cottesloe Beach Girls’ Home, surrounded by West Australian flowers, will be on sale in the streets. The objective for the whole district is the raising of £50,000. Last year £8,000 was raised in this State and the Army is anticipating as good a response to its appeal this year.
